This bench is designed to be stable during standard use, so if you're noticing side-to-side movement in the backrest during exercises, it's likely due to some bolts not being fully tightened during assembly. For optimal stability:

Bolts around the moving parts (such as the backrest adjustment mechanism) should be tightened right up to the point where movement becomes slightly restricted—this ensures firmness without creating too much friction.
Bolts for fixed, non-moving parts should be tightened completely to eliminate any play, even under load.
Padding bolts only need to be snug enough to securely hold the pad in place—avoid over-tightening, as this could damage the internal threads.

We strongly advise against drilling or making any modifications to the bench, as this could compromise its structural integrity. We have encountered cases where the holes did not seem to align, but in every instance so far, it was due to slight misalignment during assembly.

To ensure proper alignment, we recommend inserting all bolts loosely during assembly and gradually tightening them, starting from the bottom of the bench and working upward. When assembling the adjustment mechanism, it’s important to check that the pin can smoothly enter all adjustment points while you slowly tighten the related bolts.
